Fetal Therapy & Interventions

Fetal Therapy & Interventions

Fetal Therapy and Interventions involve specialised procedures performed during pregnancy to diagnose or treat conditions affecting the baby before birth. At Sri Prathyusha Diagnostics & Advanced Fetal Imaging Center, we offer advanced procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS) to assess genetic, chromosomal, and developmental conditions early in pregnancy. These procedures are performed under expert guidance using high-resolution ultrasound for maximum safety and accuracy.

Amniocentesis involves collecting a small sample of amniotic fluid from the uterus, usually between 16–20 weeks of pregnancy. This test helps detect chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome, genetic disorders, and certain infections.

Chorionic villus sampling

Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)

Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS), performed earlier between 11–14 weeks of pregnancy, involves taking a tiny sample of placental tissue (chorionic villi) to analyse the baby’s chromosomes and genes. It allows for early detection and informed decision-making before mid-pregnancy.

Our centre follows strict safety protocols and provides pre- and post-procedure counselling, ensuring that parents receive accurate information, emotional support, and expert care throughout their pregnancy journey.
